Regular Season Round 28: Turk Telekom - Eskisehir Basket 97-92

Everything went according to plan in Ankara where tenth ranked Turk Telekom (14-14) beat 14th ranked Eskisehir Basket (8-20) 97-92 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Eskisehir Basket was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 28-20 charge of Turk Telekom, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: N.Carolina St.) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and Latvian point guard Kristaps Valters (190-81) who added 19 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) responded with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) scored 27 points. Four Turk Telekom and five Eskisehir Basket players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Trabzonspor and Galatasaray. Loser Eskisehir Basket dropped to the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Turk Telekom will face Torku Konyaspor (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Eskisehir Basket will play against Royal Hali and hope to win that game.
