Regular Season Round 33: Bayreuth - EWE Baskets 74-87

Date: April 26, 2015
Very predictable result when seventh ranked EWE Baskets (19-14) defeated on the road 15th ranked BBC Bayreuth (10-23) 87-74 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-74. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) stepped up and scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and power forward Adam Chubb (208-81, college: Pennsylvania) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. EWE Baskets' coach Mladen Drijencic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Je'Kel Foster (194-83, college: Ohio St., agency: Inception Sports) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Brandon Bowman (206-84, college: Georgetown) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five EWE Baskets and four BBC Bayreuth players scored in double figures. EWE Baskets maintains seventh place with 19-14 record. BBC Bayreuth lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 23 games lost. EWE Baskets will face higher ranked Bayern Muenchen (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BBC Bayreuth will play against the league's leader Brose Baskets (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
