Everything could happen in Bursa at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked TED Kolejliler and 15th ranked Tofas had identical 8-19 record. But Tofas was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Ankara 92-71 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by TED Kolejliler. Tofas was better in second period 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Tofas outrebounded TED Kolejliler 35-22 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kalin Lucas (185-89, college: Michigan St.) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 7 assists and guard Clay Tucker (196-80, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) who added 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four TED Kolejliler players scored in double figures. TED Kolejliler's coach Hasan Ozmeric felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and guard Lance Harris (195-84, college: Kansas St.) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. TED Kolejliler maintains fourteenth position with 9-19 record. Tofas lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 20 games lost. TED Kolejliler will face higher ranked Karsiyaka (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tofas will play against Usak (#13) and hope to win that game.
