Regular Season Round 33: B.Muenchen - ALBA 70-68

There was a change at the BBL leadership position after last games. Round 33 most important game was a defeat of league's leader ALBA Berlin (27-5). They were edged by third ranked Bayern Muenchen (25-8) 70-68 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of ALBA Berlin. The hosts trailed by 13 points after three quarters before their 25-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Bayern Muenchen shot 29 for 40 from the free-throw line, while ALBA Berlin only scored twelve points from the stripe. 33 personal fouls committed by ALBA Berlin helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. ALBA Berlin will play next round against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Bayern Muenchen will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked EWE Baskets in Oldenburg.
