There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Artland Dragons (15-18) won against on the road 9th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (16-18) 82-69 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 47-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Artland Dragons made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. American guard Terrell Everett (193-84, college: Oklahoma) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center Kenny Frease (212-89, college: Xavier) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Artland Dragons' coach Tyron McCoy used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) with 26 points and Finnish Shawn Huff (198-84, college: Valparaiso) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Artland Dragons maintains eleventh place with 15-18 record. EnBW Ludwigsburg lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 18 games lost. Artland Dragons will face bottom-ranked Crailsheim Merlins (#18) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
