Lugano Tigers snatched a narrow road win over Neuchatel in the semifinals opener. Neuchatel cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. The former international power forward Jonathan Dubas (202-91) fired 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Derek Stockalper (196-84, college: Cal Poly - SLO) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (208-92) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Quinton Day (185-84, college: UMKC) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
