Szolnok beat Sopron KC and opened win count in the semis. The game was mostly controlled by Szolnok. Sopron KC was better in fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sopron KC to just 4 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Sopron KC 46-30 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Szolnok players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American Michael Lee (206-86) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Lazeric Jones (182-90, college: UCLA) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. At the losing side international guard Andras Rujak (189-88) responded with 9 points and 7 assists and international point guard Dontay Thomas (187-84, college: La Salle) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
