Eleventh-ranked Istanbul BSB (12-18) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Darussafaka (21-9) on Saturday. The visitors managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 25-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Darussafaka looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Lithuanian Renaldas Seibutis (196-85) notched 13 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and Slovenian center Gasper Vidmar (211-87) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Darussafaka's coach Oktay Mahmudi used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists by Swedish-Croatian forward Damir Markota (209-85, agency: XL Basketball Agency) did not help to save the game for Istanbul BSB. The former international center Dusan Cantekin (221-90, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points.
