Very expected game when 13th ranked Usak (12-18) lost on the road to fourth ranked Karsiyaka (19-11) 88-80 on Saturday. Usak trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 23-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 80-88 at the end of the game. Karsiyaka looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for Colombian-Spanish power forward Juan Palacios (206-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Jon Diebler (198-88, college: Ohio St.) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Five Karsiyaka players scored in double figures. Naturalized Azerbaijani Orhan Haciyeva (200-89) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Czech David Jelinek (196-90) added 14 points in the effort for Usak. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Karsiyaka maintains fourth position with 19-11 record. Loser Usak dropped to the eleventh place with 18 games lost.
