Oldenburg was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Rostock 66-59 on Saturday night. Naturalized American Andres Murillo (201-90, college: Biola, CA, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American guard Matthew Hunter (196-90, college: Cent.Conn.St.) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Chris Gorman (180-93, college: Vanguard) responded with 14 points and 4 assists and center Kai Haenig (205-88, college: Missouri Valley) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Oldenburg's coach Christian Held rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Rostock will face Herzoege Wolfenbuettel at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Oldenburg will play against Iserlohn and hope to win that game.
