Regular Season Round 2: Gmunden - UBSC Graz 50-81

An interesting game where UBSC Graz crushed host Gmunden Swans with 31-point difference 81-50 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by UBSC Graz. Gmunden Swans managed to win third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Slovenian guard Jure Pelko (190-90) scored 20 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Slovenian power forward Drago Brcina (205-87) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. International point guard Daniel Friedrich (181-92) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and naturalized German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UBSC Graz will meet at home Arkadia Lions (#8) in the next round. Gmunden Swans will play against Redwell Gunners Oberwart and hope to win that game.
