We should mention about the upset which took place in Leverkusen, where Bayer Giants (0-1) lost at home to Koeln Rh.Stars (1-0) 69-78. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Lakeem Jackson (196-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: Octagon Europe) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side and forward Aaron Jones (206-93, college: Mississippi) accounted for 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Koeln Rh.Stars players scored in double figures. Koeln Rh.Stars' coach Arne Woltmann used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
