Nafta-Uni. was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Silute 73-70 on Friday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-13. But Nafta-Uni. won second period 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Silute made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Nafta-Uni. turnovers. Nafta-Uni. was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Tomas Lekunas (201-93) fired 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Ignas Vaitkus (196-93) chipped in 21 points (made all of his seven free throws). Forward Rytis Biliartas (200-91) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and center Deividas Keburys (202-90) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Nafta-Uni. players scored in double figures. Silute will face Telsiai in Telsiu in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nafta-Uni. will play on the road against Mazeikiai and hope to win that game.
