Don Bosco Bamberg used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Germering 61-54. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 14-5. But Friendsfactory Germering won third quarter 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Don Bosco Bamberg dominated on the defensive end, holding Friendsfactory Germering to just 5 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Friendsfactory Germering 48-32 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Estonian guard Liisi Sokman (166-88) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Don Bosco Bamberg's coach Ulf Schabacker allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International Anne Breitreiner (184-84) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Magdalena von Geyr (180-84) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Friendsfactory Germering. Don Bosco Bamberg's next round opponent will be Fireballs in Bad Aibling and it will be for sure the game of the week. Friendsfactory Germering will play at home against Wasserburg II and hope to win that game.
