Regular Season Round 1: SISU - Naestved 59-85

An interesting game was played in Copenhagen where Naestved crushed host SISU with 26-point difference 85-59 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Naestved. SISU managed to win third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Naestved especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. American point guard Troy Franklin (183-89, college: Coppin St.) stepped up and scored 15 points for the winners and international forward Alexander Bak (193-91) chipped in 15 points. At the losing side American guard Devin Cherry (190, college: Cornell) responded with 10 points and Brazilian forward Matao de Souza (201-86, college: Idaho) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Naestved will meet at home Svendborg in the next round. SISU will play against Stevnsgade and hope to win that game.
