Regular Season Round 3: Dragons - Gotha 67-79

Date: October 4, 2015
Oettinger Rockets Gotha (3-0) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat Dragons Rhoendorf (1-2) 79-67. Oettinger Rockets Gotha made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American forward Joe Lawson (201, college: Indianapolis, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). His fellow American import guard Carlton Guyton (193-90, college: Kent St.) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Lawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American point guard Sterling Carter (183-90, college: Purdue) answered with 26 points and 5 steals and power forward Robin Lodders (203-94) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Dragons Rhoendorf. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oettinger Rockets Gotha is looking forward to face Science City Jena at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dragons Rhoendorf will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
