Regular Season Round 3: Halle - Oberhausen 67-64

A very interesting game took place in Halle. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of Oberhausen (0-3) to SV Halle Lions (1-2) 67-64 on Sunday evening. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was Belarusian point guard Alexandra Tarasava (171-88) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Alina Hartmann (183-95, college: Colorado) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. SV Halle Lions' coach Rene Spandauw allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Amber Thompson (188, college: St.John's) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Jylisa Williams (176-89, college: Georgia St.) added 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals respectively. SV Halle Lions will have a break next round. Oberhausen will play at home against BC Pharmaserv Marburg and hopes to get finally their first victory.
