Regular Season Round 3: Zalgiris II - Ezerunas-Karys 79-64

Very predictable result in Kaunas where Zalgiris II (2-1) defeated Ezerunas-Karys (0-3) 79-64 on Friday. They outrebounded Ezerunas-Karys 42-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for swingman Martynas Varnas (196-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 4 assists. Center Martynas Sajus (207-96) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Zalgiris II players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Paulius Lescinskas (188-93) with 11 points and 5 assists and center Edgaras Sosnovskis (206-91) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zalgiris II will face Suduva-Mantinga in Marijampole in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ezerunas-Karys will play at home against Vytis and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
