The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Delikatesas' (1-3) road loss to seventh ranked Palanga (3-1) 68-87 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Palanga. Delikatesas managed to win second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Palanga looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Tadas Rinkunas (195-91) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 assists and center Matas Jucikas (205-94) who added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest (made all of his eight free throws). Four Palanga players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Darius Griskenas (194-84) responded with 28 points and guard Mantas Kadzevicius (194-91) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Palanga moved-up to third place, which they share with Silute and Petrochema. Loser Delikatesas dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Palanga will meet Petrochema (#5) in the next round. Delikatesas will play against Nafta-Uni. (#6) and hope to win that game.
