Regular Season Round 1: Adanaspor - Socar Petkim 80-81

Adanaspor was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Petkim 81-80 on Saturday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Adanaspor won fourth quarter 24-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for Canadian center Sean Denison (211-85, college: Santa Clara) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Taquan Dean (193-83, college: Louisville, agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Five Socar Petkim players scored in double figures. American guard Terrell Stoglin (185-91, college: Maryland) answered with 41 points (!!!) and Latvian center Kaspars Kambala (206-78, college: UNLV) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Adanaspor. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Socar Petkim will face Denizli at home in the next round. Adanaspor will play against Acibadem Uni. in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
