Regular Season Round 4: Rasai - Perlas-MRU 71-87

Perlas-MRU can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Raseiniai, where they defeated Rasai (1-3) 87-71 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Perlas-MRU's pressure prevailed and they won that period 31-16 extending their advantage to 16 points. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Tautvydas Pipiras (198-93) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 assists and center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Valdemaras Savostjanovas (200-84) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Gabriel Moton (191-91, college: Brandeis) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Perlas-MRU left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Rasai. It was Rasai's third loss in a row. Perlas-MRU will meet at home bottom-ranked Ezerunas-Karys (#14) in the next round where they are favorite. Rasai will play against Silute (#3) and hope to win that game.
