Regular Season Round 6: Mazeikiai - Delikatesas 88-63

NKL top team - Mazeikiai (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Delikatesas (2-4) 88-63. The game without a history. Mazeikiai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists. 31 personal fouls committed by Delikatesas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Kostas Jonuska (196-92) scored 30 points to lead the charge for the winners and guard Evaldas Saulys (195-93) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Mazeikiai's coach Aloyzas Rudys felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Augustas Pampikas (189-96) with 22 points and Mantas Margis (193-96) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Mazeikiai have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Delikatesas at the other side dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Mazeikiai are looking forward to face Rasai (#11) in Raseiniai in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Delikatesas will play on the road against Silute and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
