Regular Season Round 6: P.Zvaigzdes - Lietkabelis 64-86

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Lietkabelis (2-3) crushed one of their biggest challengers P.Zvaigzdes (2-3) in Pasvalys 86-64. The game was mostly controlled by Lietkabelis. P.Zvaigzdes was better in fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Lietkabelis had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Lietkabelis especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Brandon Wood (187-89, college: Michigan St.) who scored 20 points. The other American import guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Jokubas Gintvainis (193-94) who recorded 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Ukrainian Andriy Agafonov (208-86) added 13 points respectively. Lietkabelis moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated P.Zvaigzdes. P.Zvaigzdes lost third consecutive game. Lietkabelis' next round opponent will be Neptunas (#5) in Klaipeda. P.Zvaigzdes will play at home against Siauliai and hope to win that game.
