Regular Season Round 3: Horsholm - Virum 69-62

Virum (2-1) recorded a loss on the court of Horsholm. Visitors were defeated by Horsholm 69-62. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Virum won third quarter 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsholm forced 20 Virum turnovers. Strangely Virum outrebounded Horsholm 46-29 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Line Piechnik (171-90) who led her team to a victory with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Sara Pedersen (172-95) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Horsholm's coach Jose Vazquez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Val Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 24 rebounds and forward Nikoline Oestergaard (183-92, college: Quinnipiac) added 18 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Virum. Four Virum players scored in double figures. Horsholm will play against Lemvig (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Virum will have a break next round.
