Regular Season Round 4: Wuerzburg - Weissenhorn 56-69

Date: October 18, 2015
Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Wuerzburg (1-3) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (3-1) 69-56 on Sunday. Weissenhorn Youngstars forced 21 Wuerzburg turnovers. Wuerzburg was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Christopher Anderson (170-92, college: San Diego) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Austrian point guard David Kramer (191-97) who added 16 points during the contest. Four Weissenhorn Youngstars players scored in double figures. At the losing side Maximilian Ugrai (202-95) responded with 7 points and 9 rebounds and forward Felix Hoffmann (195-89) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Weissenhorn Youngstars have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in South, which they share with 3 other teams. Wuerzburg lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with three games lost. Weissenhorn Youngstars will face league's leader BG Karlsruhe on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wuerzburg will play against Ehingen/Urspringschule (#4) and hope to win that game.
