The game in Klaipeda was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Vytautas (4-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Neptunas (2-3). Vytautas managed to secure a 5-point victory 87-82. It looked good early as Neptunas took a 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Vytautas had a 32-9 second period charge getting the lead and Neptunas was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 82-87. 28 personal fouls committed by Neptunas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-85, college: William & Mary) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Gytis Sirutavicius (195-83) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Martynas Mazeika (192-85, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 23 points and forward Donatas Zavackas (203-80, college: Pittsburgh) added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Five Vytautas and four Neptunas players scored in double figures. Neptunas' coach Dainius Adomaitis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vytautas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 4-1 record behind leader Lietuvos rytas. Neptunas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Vytautas' next round opponent will be Juventus (#6) in Utena. Neptunas will play on the road against Lietkabelis in Panevezys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
