Regular Season Round 1: Hatay - Botas 75-59

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Botas (0-1) on the court of Hatay. Visitors were defeated by Hatay 75-59. The game was mostly controlled by Hatay. Botas was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Botas 39-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. Hungarian power forward Anna Vajda (191-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) nailed 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and naturalized American swingman Bahar Ozturk (183-84, college: Connecticut, agency: 1x1 Sports) accounted for 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American power forward Avery Warley (190-87, college: Liberty) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Greek forward Evanthia Maltsi (180-78, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 13 points respectively for Botas in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hatay will play against Canik Bld in Samsun in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Botas will play at home against Abdullah Gul to get more than just one victory in their record.
