Important game to mention about took place in Siauliai. Fourth ranked Juventus (3-4) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 10th ranked Siauliai (2-5) 112-110 on Wednesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests trailed by 15 points after three quarters before their 39-24 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Juventus outrebounded Siauliai 52-26 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Siauliai was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American swingman Spencer Butterfield (190-92, college: Utah St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds. Forward Edgaras Zelionis (201-89) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Juventus' coach Antanas Sireika used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international swingman Arturas Jomantas (200-85) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Paulius Dambrauskas (192-85) scored 22 points and 5 assists. Four Juventus and five Siauliai players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Juventus went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Siauliai dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. Juventus will face Nevezis (#8) in Kedainiai in the next round. Siauliai will play at home against Lietkabelis and hope to win that game.
