There was no surprise in Moletai where 13th ranked Ezerunas-Karys (1-6) was crushed by third ranked Suduva-Mantinga (6-1) 82-52 on Friday. The game without a history. Suduva-Mantinga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Suduva-Mantinga forced 24 Ezerunas-Karys turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Suduva-Mantinga made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for Paulius Vaitiekunas (204-92, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Gintautas Matulis (195-86) helped adding 13 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suduva-Mantinga moved-up to second place, which they share with Palanga. Loser Ezerunas-Karys keeps the thirteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Lietkabelis-2. Suduva-Mantinga will meet at home Silute (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ezerunas-Karys will play against the league's second-placed Palanga (#2) and hope to win that game.
