Regular Season Round 3: Meliksah - Tofas 69-78

Rather predictable result in Kayseri where Tofas (3-0) beat Meliksah (1-2) 78-69 on Friday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-69. The best player for the winners was Dominican-American guard Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) who scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Bulgarian power forward Kaloyan Ivanov (205-86, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jeremy Ingram (190-92, college: N.C.Central) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Rahim Rizvanoglu (183-86) added 10 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tofas will face Akhisar Bld at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Meliksah will play against Afyon (#13) in Afyonkarahisar and hope to win that game.
