Regular Season Round 8: Vienna - Gmunden 71-63

Date: October 23, 2015
There was no surprise in Wien where 8th ranked Gmunden Swans (2-6) were defeated by sixth ranked Vienna (4-4) 71-63 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 42-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (189-92, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds and American-Bahamas forward Jonathan Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) who added 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Naturalized German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) responded with 19 points and international point guard Daniel Friedrich (181-92) scored 9 points and 6 assists. Gmunden Swans' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vienna moved-up to fifth place. Loser Gmunden Swans keep the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Arkadia and Wels. Vienna will meet Arkadia Lions (#9) in the next round. Gmunden Swans will play against the league's second-placed Furstenfeld Panthers and hope to secure a win.
