We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when Besiktas (1-2) won against Turk Telekom (0-2) in Ankara 79-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. Besiktas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Besiktas outrebounded Turk Telekom 38-22 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American point guard Nate Wolters (193-91, college: S.Dakota St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. Serbian-Montenegrin forward Boris Savovic (206-87, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 18 points and American-Georgian point guard Ben Woodside (180-85, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Priority Sports) added 14 points and 4 steals in the effort for Turk Telekom. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Besiktas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Istanbul BSB.
