Regular Season Round 2: Gelistirenler - Adana ASKI 87-72

Gelistirenler used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Mersin 87-72 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Gelistirenler. Adana ASKI was better in fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gelistirenler dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Adana ASKI's 30 and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Swedish Abdi Farhiya (188-92) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Brazilian center Erika De Souza (197-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Riquna Williams (170-90, college: Miami, FL, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gelistirenler will face Hatay (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Adana ASKI will play against Galatasaray (#2) and hope to win that game.
