Very expected game when Mersin Gelisim (0-2) lost at home to Edremit (2-0) 67-50 on Saturday. The game without a history. Edremit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Mersin Gelisim's 24. They outrebounded Mersin Gelisim 41-29 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Edremit will face Fenerbahce (#9) in Istanbul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mersin Gelisim will play on the road against Anadolu Univ. in Eskisehir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
