No shocking result in a game when leader TuSLi Berlin (3-0) edged 9th ranked Baskets Grunberg (1-3) in Lichterfelde 68-66 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Lena Gohlisch (173-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Patricia Brossmann (181-97) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Maria Blazejewski (185-91, college: L.Superior) answered with 18 points and point guard Alexandra Wilke (175-96) added 21 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) in the effort for Baskets Grunberg. Baskets Grunberg's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for TuSLi Berlin. They maintain third place in North with 3-0 record having 2 victories less than leader Bad Aibling. Loser Baskets Grunberg dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. TuSLi Berlin will face Veilchen (#7) in Goettingen in the next round. Baskets Grunberg will play on the road against B.Loewen and hope to win that game.
