Regular Season Round 9: Arkadia - Vienna 75-74

Important game to mention about took place in Traiskirchen. Eighth ranked Arkadia Lions (3-6) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Vienna (4-5) 75-74 on Monday evening. Vienna was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 20-18 charge of Arkadia Lions, which allowed them to win the game. Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and the former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (189-92, agency: Octagon Europe) with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Serbian Predrag Miletic (193-84) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Arkadia Lions moved-up to seventh place, which they share with UBSC Graz. Vienna at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Klosterneuburg. Arkadia Lions will play against league's second-placed Furstenfeld Panthers at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vienna will play against Dukes in Klosterneuburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
