Regular Season Round 4: Gediz - Final Genclik 90-88

Very expected game when 11th ranked Final Genclik (1-3) was edged on the road by top-ranked Gediz (4-0) 90-88 on Tuesday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 44-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Gediz made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Final Genclik was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American point guard Demontez Stitt (187-89, college: Clemson, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Power forward Orbay Kaya (205-82) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American guard Demarius Bolds (193-84, college: Missouri Western) replied with 42 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and guard Mustafa Gucyetmez (188-80) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Final Genclik. Gediz have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Final Genclik keeps the eleventh place with three games lost. Gediz will face Adanaspor (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Final Genclik will play against Sakarya BSB (#6) and hope to win that game.
