The game in Kaunas was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Fortuna (1-4) played at the court of sixth ranked Aistes-LSU (2-4). Aistes-LSU managed to secure a 4-point victory 66-62 on Friday. Fortuna was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Aistes-LSU forced 28 Fortuna turnovers. Strangely Fortuna outrebounded Aistes-LSU 51-32 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Jolanta Marmiene (181-79) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Ieva Stankeviciute (174-89) helped adding 17 points. Four Aistes-LSU players scored in double figures. At the losing side Roberta Mizgeryte (188-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and center Justina Matuzonyte (195-94) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Aistes-LSU moved-up to fifth place. Fortuna lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
