Regular Season Round 10: Wels - Gussing 80-87

The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-18. But Raiffeisen Wels won second period 23-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gussing Knights made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. American guard Davonte Lacy (193-93, college: Washington St.) fired 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American-Ivorian forward Dane Watts (203-86) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Gussing Knights' coach Matthias Zollner used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) produced 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard DeJuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) added 25 points respectively for lost side. Five Gussing Knights and four Raiffeisen Wels players scored in double figures. Gussing Knights have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-0 record. Loser Raiffeisen Wels stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. Gussing Knights will meet at home Redwell Gunners Oberwart (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Raiffeisen Wels will play against Vienna (#4) in Wien and hope to secure a win.
