Regular Season Round 6: BC Timisoara - U-Banca TR 67-77

Bottom-ranked BC Timisoara is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to third ranked U-Banca TR (4-1) 77-67 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. U-Banca TR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Serbian center Ivan Zigeranovic (212-84, agency: BeoExcell) notched 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Moldovan-Ukrainian Andrii Kalnichenko (201-86) supported him with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Four U-Banca TR players scored in double figures. U-Banca TR's coach Marcel Tenter used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by Serbian power forward Dalibor Djapa (205-84, agency: 011 Sports) did not help to save the game for BC Timisoara. Bahamas forward Kentwan Smith (203-91, college: Stetson) added 15 points and 8 rebounds. U-Banca TR have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Oradea and Craiova. Loser BC Timisoara still closes the standings with six games lost. U-Banca TR will meet CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Timisoara will play against Gaz Metan and hopes to get finally their first victory.
