Regular Season Round 4: Konyaspor - Usak 75-64

The most surprising game was the first loss of Usak (2-1) on the court of ninth ranked Torku Konyaspor on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Torku Konyaspor 75-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Usak. The game was mostly controlled by Torku Konyaspor. Usak managed to win fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Usak outrebounded Torku Konyaspor 40-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Vanja Plisnic (207-80, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and American-Bosnian guard Ernest Bremer (194-80, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who added 12 points and 8 assists during the contest. Five Torku Konyaspor players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Paul Harris (193-86, college: Syracuse) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds and his fellow American import guard D'Angelo Harrison (193, college: St.John's) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Usak's coach Ozan Bulkaz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Torku Konyaspor moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Usak. Torku Konyaspor is looking forward to face TED Kolejliler (#13) in Ankara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Usak will play at home against Galatasaray (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
