Regular Season Round 10: Gmunden - Kapfenberg 83-74

An interesting game took place in Gmunden where higher ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (5-5) were upset on the court of ninth ranked Gmunden Swans (3-7) 83-74. The hosts were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-18 Kapfenberg Bulls' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 83-74 at the end of the game. Gmunden Swans players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Daniel Friedrich (181-92) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American guard Jarvis Ray (198-90, college: TCU) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. The former international guard Armin Woschank (186-82) replied with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American guard Mike Holton Jr. (185-90, college: St.Michael's) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Kapfenberg Bulls. Four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans maintains ninth position with 3-7 record. Kapfenberg Bulls at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost. Gmunden Swans' next round opponent will be higher ranked UBSC Graz (#8) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against Arkadia Lions (#7) and hope to win that game.
