Regular Season Round 6: Saarlouis - Leipzig 76-83

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked USC Leipzig (4-2) defeated on the road 10th ranked Saarlouis (1-5) 83-76 on Sunday. Saarlouis were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American power forward Julian Scott (203-90, college: Adams St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Sascha Leutloff (202-82) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four USC Leipzig players scored in double figures. American forward Brennan McElroy (201-91, college: Indianapolis) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Ricky Easterling (188-83, college: Bridgewater) added 25 points and 5 assists in the effort for Saarlouis. Saarlouis' coach Dennis Mouget let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. USC Leipzig have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Fraport SKY II. Loser Saarlouis keep the tenth position with five games lost. USC Leipzig will face Titans (#6) in Dresden in the next round. Saarlouis will play on the road against Fraport Skyliners II (#4) in Frankfurt and hope to win that game.
