Regular Season Round 3: Edirne - Mersin 63-72

Edirne was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Mersin 72-63 on Monday night. Mersin had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for Angel McCoughtry (187-86, college: Louisville) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Bria Hartley (173-92, college: Connecticut) contributed with 20 points for the winners. point guard Ivory Latta (168-84, college: N.Carolina) answered with 24 points and center Stefanie Dolson (196-92, college: Connecticut) added 18 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Edirne. Mersin is looking forward to face Istanbul Uni (#4) in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Edirne will play on the road against Botas (#7) in Adana and hopes to get finally their first victory.
