Very important is a road loss of third ranked SISU (3-3) against sixth ranked Amager (2-3) on Friday night. Visiting SISU was defeated by Amager in a tough game in Kastrup 61-67. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 17-12. But SISU won second period 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Amager forced 24 SISU turnovers. It was a good game for swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Emilie Fogelstrom (166-92) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Amager players scored in double figures. Amager's coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Olivia Applewhite (183-91, college: Dayton) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Brooke Lemar (168-91, college: N.Dakota St.) added 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) in the effort for SISU. Amager maintains sixth position with 2-3 record. SISU at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Amager will play against higher ranked Virum (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SISU will play against the league's second-placed Horsholm and hopes to get back on the winning track.
