Regular Season Round 4: Canik Bld - Fenerbahce 77-72

There was a change at the KBSL leadership position after last games. Round 4 most important game was a defeat of Fenerbahce (3-1). They were defeated by eighth ranked Canik Bld (2-2) 77-72 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fenerbahce. Canik Bld made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Natasha Lacy (178-85, college: UTEP) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and Latvian center Zane Teilane-Tamane (200-83, college: W.Illinois, agency: LBM Management) who added 16 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Hungarian-American guard Allie Quigley (178-86, college: De Paul) responded with 24 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American center Jantel Lavender (191-88, college: Ohio St.) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Canik Bld moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Fenerbahce at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with 3 other teams. They were replaced at the leadership position by Hatay. Fenerbahce will play next round against Gelistirenler trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul - Gelistirenler. Canik Bld will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Edirne on the road.
