Regular Season Round 10: Telsiai - Nafta-Uni. 76-87

We should mention about the upset which took place in Telsiu, where higher ranked Telsiai (6-4) lost at home to twelfth ranked Nafta-Uni. (4-6) 76-87 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Telsiai. The game was mostly controlled by Nafta-Uni.. Telsiai managed to win second period 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Point guard Mindaugas Stasys (180-86) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Rytis Biliartas (200-91) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Ovidijus Kaminskas (195-91) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and forward Audrius Maneikis (203-84, college: Motlow St. CC) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nafta-Uni. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Telsiai dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Nafta-Uni. will meet at home Ezerunas-Karys (#12) in the next round. Telsiai will play against Delikatesas (#9) in Joniskis and hope to secure a win.
