Undefeated leader Mersin Basketbal delivered the fourth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Bakospor (0-4) 111-33 in Gaziantep. Mersin Basketbal held Bakospor to an opponent 22.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 53.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Mersin Basketbal forced 22 Bakospor turnovers and outrebounded them 64-17 including a 27-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mersin Basketbal looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Bakospor's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of Seda Ozturk (-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Rana Derin (175-92) who added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Mersin Basketbal will meet at home Alanya Bld (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bakospor will play against Cankaya in Ankara and hopes to get finally their first victory.
