Regular Season Round 5: NSA Delta - Levski 65-66

Important game to mention about took place in Sofia. Sixth ranked Levski (2-3) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging bottom-ranked NSA Delta (0-5) 66-65 on Saturday evening. NSA Delta was ahead by 13 points after three quarters before a 23-9 charge of Levski, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 30 NSA Delta turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Point guard Gergana Ivanova (175-99) nailed 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Yolanda Cossa (170-95) accounted for 17 points. Levski's coach Tatyana Gateva used entire bench in such tough game. Swingman Maria Svetoslavova (179-93) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Mirena Dencheva (185-91) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for NSA Delta in the defeat. Four NSA Delta players scored in double figures. Levski moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Montana 2003. Newly promoted NSA Delta still closes the standings with five games lost. Levski will play against higher ranked Neftochimic (#3) in Burgas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. NSA Delta will play on the road against the league's second-placed Dunav 8806 (#2) in Ruse and hopes to get finally their first victory.
