There was a minor upset when higher ranked Yakin Dogu (2-2) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Orduspor (2-2) 94-80 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Orduspor. Yakin Dogu was better in fourth quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Orduspor had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. At the losing side forward Alyssa Thomas (188-92, college: Maryland) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds and center Kelsey Bone (193-91, college: Texas A&M) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Yakin Dogu's coach Alper Durur rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Orduspor moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Yakin Dogu. Orduspor will face bottom-ranked Adana ASKI (#14) in Mersin in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
